Welcome to Radiant50plus

I’m so glad you’re here.

This isn’t just another wellness blog — it’s a space born out of real-life experience, personal healing, and a deep belief that our bodies know how to restore balance when we listen with care.

My own journey with health and wellness didn’t come from ease — it came from struggle.

A Little About Me

As a child, I was often sick. My body was sensitive and my immune system fragile. By middle school, I developed severe allergies that left me with red, inflamed rashes and intense itching — especially during the warmer months. It was so bad that I couldn’t sleep at night without medicine. This continued all the way through college.

Then one day, almost by chance, I discovered fasting. I decided to try a 7-day fast — not expecting much — but something shifted. My skin cleared. The itching stopped. The allergy never returned. That was the first time I saw just how powerful our body can be when we give it space to heal.

Years later, in my late 30s after giving birth, my body broke down again. I experienced joint pain, hoarseness, and relentless fatigue. I couldn’t sleep. Doctors gave me a parade of diagnoses: Rheumatoid arthritis, then Lupus, then Hashimoto’s. Lab results were off the charts. As a nurse, I knew the implications of the powerful medications they prescribed — and I knew I wanted a different path.

I threw the medicine away.

And I started over — researching, learning, listening, experimenting. Within a month, my symptoms calmed. I felt human again. That was the beginning of a lifelong journey into holistic health — body, mind, and spirit.

What I Learned (And What I Want to Share)

Our body is not separate from our mind.
Healing isn’t just physical — it’s emotional and spiritual too.
And the body is always trying to heal — we just have to give it a chance.

Now 50Plus

Turning 50 and beyond can feel like a crossroads – a moment where life can change for better or worse. For me, it became an invitation to pause, reimagine, and reshape my path. Through my own experiences, I came to understand what a so-called ‘midlife crisis’ really means: it’s not an ending, but an evolution. It’s a chance to shed old expectations and discover a deeper, truer self. Each of us is a beautiful and unique soul, and this season of life can be a powerful journey back to who we really are. Let’s walk that path together.

“Life is not a problem to be solved, but an experience to be lived.”
